We have some ice time schedule changes for RSL tryouts. The result is that RSL Islanders Women’s Jr. U21 / INT AA tryout sessions have be rescheduled to May 4, 5 and 6, as per the updated schedule below. Other RSL tryout sessions/dates (Atom through Midget) have had changes as well and players interested in those tryouts should confirm those sessions dates/times on the RSLGHA Site.

The RSL Islanders Women’s Jr. U21 / INT AA Hockey Club will be holding tryouts for the upcoming 2019-20 season. See below for registration, eligibility and other details.

download, complete and submit the RSLGHA Registration Form and email it to our registrar beforehand at

Tryout fees are $80 for those that pre-register and $100 for walk-ins. The fee covers all RSLGHA Tryouts (ie: there is no additional tryout fee for subsequent tryouts at a lower level) and a minimum of two tryout sessions are guaranteed.

Eligibility and Additional Information

Tryouts are open, transparent and independently evaluated.
All roster spots are available.

Post tryout debriefs will be held with tryout assessment reviewed.

*Players should also note that because of the rescheduling, our tryout sessions now occur after other RSL team tryouts, but attending Islanders tryouts does not affect any offers made to you (i.e. if you attended RSL Midget tryouts and made the RSL Midget team, that offer remains valid if you attend Islanders tryouts). Participation in our tryouts incurs no additional tryout fee.

To be eligible, players must:

  • have a birth year of 1999 or younger (U21),
  • have a PTS (Permission to Skate) or a Release from their OWHA association if they are not a current RSLGHA player,
Note: players that have never played girls hockey (are coming from boys hockey) do not require a PTS or a Release
  • really like the colour Orange. Seriously.
